Regular Season Round 21: Palestrina - Patti 82-50

Very expected game in Roma where 12th ranked Patti (6-15) was rolled over by third ranked Palestrina (18-4) 82-50 on Sunday. Palestrina made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Patti turnovers and outrebounded them 40-21 including a 32-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Palestrina looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Patti was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Davide Serino (199-81) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Palestrina's coach Gianluca Lulli felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Giorgio Busco (181-95) who recorded 14 points and center Enrico Waldner (208-92) added 12 points respectively. Palestrina maintains third place in B with 18-4 record having just four point less than leader Omegna. Newly promoted Patti dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Palestrina will face league's leader Napoli Cuore on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Patti will play against Scauri (#8) and hope to win that game.
