Regular Season Round 5: BC Titebi - Arena-76 67-70

Important game to mention about took place in Tbilisi. Fourth ranked Arena-76 (3-2) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed BC Titebi (3-2) 70-67 in the game for the second place. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-14. But BC Titebi won second period 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Peter Alexis (213-92, college: Philadelphia) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Konstantine Bitsadze (195-97) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Arena-76 players scored in double figures. American forward Armani Flannigan (203-92, college: N.Texas) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-86) added 13 points and 11 assists in the effort for BC Titebi. Arena-76 moved-up to second place, which they share with Hyundai-TSU and BC Titebi. Arena-76 will play against league's leader DELTA in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BC Titebi will play against Tskaltubo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
