Very significant was Kaspiy Aktau's (#3, 1-13) victory against their biggest opponent Barsy Atyrau (5-7) 86-80. Kaspiy Aktau forced 24 Barsy Atyrau turnovers. Barsy Atyrau was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Sean Hill (188-92, college: Chicago St.) notched 32 points and 8 steals to lead the effort and point guard Azim Yagodkin (185-92) supported him with 15 points and 5 assists.
