National League top team - Hapoel B/S (14-6) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (11-9) in Beer Sheva 77-68. Worth to mention a quality performance of American power forward Jeff Allen (201-87, college: Virginia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP) who added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Naturalized Welsh Tal Michael Dunne (196-87) responded with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Hapoel B/S maintains first position with 14-6 record, which they share with Maccabi Raanana. Ironi Nes-Ziona lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. Hapoel B/S will play against Maccabi Rehovot (#5) on the road in the next round. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Ironi Ramat Gan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
