Regular Season Round 19: Angers - Hainaut 65-74

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Hainaut (8-11) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Angers (3-16) 74-65. The guests were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 19-16 Angers' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 74-65 at the end of the game. Hainaut players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a very good performance for DR Congolese power forward Pauline Akonga Nsimbo (188-82, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds. Czech swingman Romana Hejdova (184-88) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Hainaut players scored in double figures. Canadian forward Lizanne Murphy (185-84, college: Hofstra) answered with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Clarince Djaldi-Tabdi (183-95) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Angers. Hainaut maintains eighth place with 8-11 record, which they share with Nice. Angers lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Hainaut's next round opponent will be higher ranked Mondeville (#6) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
