The game had a very big importance for second-ranked JL Bourg as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Provence Basket) loss. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Provence Basket. Nantes at the other side keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Le Havre and Blois. Nantes will play next round against Saint Chamond trying to get back on the winning streak. JL Bourg will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Chorale de Roanne on the road.
