Regular Season Round 22: Langen - Speyer 73-71

The most exciting game of round 22 in the Regionalliga took place in Langen. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Speyer (14-7) to seventh ranked TV Langen (10-11) 73-71 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Speyer. American forward Preston Ross (198, college: Winston Salem) fired 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Maxim Schneider (184-92) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Joshua Creek (189-87) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds and American power forward Aaron Ellis (205-87, college: Wichita St.) added 16 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TV Langen maintains seventh position in South-West with 10-11 record. Speyer at the other side dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. TV Langen are looking forward to face league's leader BV Villingen-Schwenningen on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Speyer will play against Lich II and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
