Very predictable result when fourth ranked Valencia Basket (15-5) beat at home 14th ranked Joventut (6-15) 77-72. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Joventut was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 25-13 charge of Valencia Basket, which allowed them to win the game. They made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. International forward Joan Sastre Morro (201-91) notched 15 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Luke Sikma (203-89, college: Portland) supported him with 7 points and 10 rebounds. Even 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) did not help to save the game for Joventut. Serbian forward Luka Bogdanovic (206-85) added 17 points for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Valencia Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Real Madrid. Joventut at the other side dropped to the sixteenth position with 15 games lost. Valencia Basket's next round opponent will be Baskonia (#4) in Vitoria. Joventut will play at home against Movil Estudiantes (#10) and hope to win that game.
