Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (14-8) beat at home 9th ranked Wilki Morskie (11-10) 74-69 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. shot 24 for 33 from the free-throw line, while Wilki Morskie only scored seven points from the stripe. Wilki Morskie was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American point guard Aaron Johnson (173-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) who scored 18 points and 4 assists. Vincentian center Shawn King (208-82, college: ORU, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. The former international point guard Robert Skibniewski (182-83) produced 15 points and 5 assists and Guinean-American guard Russell Robinson (185-86) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four Wilki Morskie players scored in double figures. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Wilki Morskie keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. will face MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#5) on the road in the next round.
