Regular Season Round 22: Cassino - Cefalu 90-82

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Cassino (15-7) beat at home 9th ranked Cefalu (10-11) 90-82 on Saturday. Cassino dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Cefalu's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by Cefalu's players. Quite impressive performance for the former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Niccolo Petrucci (193-89) contributed with 13 points and 5 assists for the winners. Five Cassino players scored in double figures. Naturalized Argentinian point guard Emiliano Paparella (180-83, agency: Players Group) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Riccardo Malagoli (209-88) added 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Cefalu. Cassino maintains fifth position in B with 15-7 record. Newly promoted Cefalu dropped to the tenth place with 11 games lost. Cassino will face Viterbo SA (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cefalu will play against Catanzaro (#7) and hope to win that game.
