Date: February 25, 2017
There was a small surprise in Stockholm where sixth ranked KFUM Central (4-8) outscored one of their biggest challengers KFUM Blackeberg (3-5) 86-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by KFUM Central. KFUM Blackeberg was better in second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded KFUM Blackeberg 45-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. KFUM Central looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Emil Haglund (201-96) who scored 25 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Nils Hedstrom (190-83) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jonas Rusom (193-94, college: Hagerstown CC) who recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Gino Panghulan (175-90) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KFUM Central moved-up to fourth place in BEHN forts. KFUM Blackeberg lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. KFUM Central will have a break next round. KFUM Blackeberg will play at home against KFUM Uppsala (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
