The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Aanekosken's (7-16) home loss to eighth ranked ViVe (10-14) in Aanekoski 78-95 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by ViVe. Aanekosken was better in fourth quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Aanekosken 48-31 including a 38-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. ViVe looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Noora Jarvikangas (184-94, college: ORU) contributed with 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Ghanian forward Batabe Zempare (188-94, college: CSU Bakersfield, agency: LBM Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and American swingman Robin Murphy (185-88, college: S.Mississippi) added 24 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Aanekosken. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ViVe moved-up to seventh place. Aanekosken lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. ViVe will have a break next round. Aanekosken will play on the road against Forssan Alku (#5) and hope to win that game.
