Regular Season Round 19: Le Havre - St Chamond 66-91

Bottom-ranked Saint Chamond managed to get the third consecutive victory. This time they outleveled fifth-ranked STB Le Havre 91-66. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 25-point difference suggests that Saint Chamond is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The game without a history. Saint Chamond led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Saint Chamond had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (205-83) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Matthieu Guichard (188-88) accounted for 7 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Nigerian power forward Dinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: Inception Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Yannis Morin (208-93) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively for STB Le Havre in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saint Chamond have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Boulogne. STB Le Havre at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Saint Chamond's next round opponent will be higher ranked Nantes (#5) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. STB Le Havre will play against Aix-Maurienne in Aix-les-Bains and hope to win that game.
