There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked VL Pesaro (7-13) won against at home higher ranked Banco di Srd (11-9) 76-71 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 5 points. VL Pesaro dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Banco di Srd's 16. Banco di Srd was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Banco di Srd's coach Federico Pasquini tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. VL Pesaro moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with AV Cantu. Loser Banco di Srd keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. VL Pesaro will face higher ranked Umana Venezia (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Banco di Srd will play against The Flexx PT and hope to win that game.
