Regular Season Round 21: Andorra II - Palma II 85-71

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Andorra II (6-12) won against at home higher ranked Palma II (10-8) 85-71 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Andorra II. Palma II was better in second period 22-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Andorra II dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Palma II's 44. They outrebounded Palma II 46-31 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Andorra II looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for Senegalese center Wally Niang (206-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Oriol Fernandez (186-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Five Andorra II players scored in double figures. Center Carlos Bustamante (200-88) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Alberto Garcia (192-87) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Palma II. Andorra II maintains tenth place in Group C-B with 6-12 record. Newly promoted Palma II keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Andorra II will face Castelldefels (#12) on the road in the next round. Palma II will play against Sitges (#13) and hope to win that game.
