Regular Season Round 19: Galatasaray - Gaziantep 66-79

We should mention about the upset which took place in Istanbul, where 6th ranked Galatasaray (11-8) lost at home to ninth ranked Gaziantep (9-10) 66-79. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri) accounted for 17 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. International Sinan Guler (192-83, college: Carroll, MT, agency: 1x1 Sports) came up with 20 points and Ege Arar (208-96) added 9 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Galatasaray in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gaziantep moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Tofas. Galatasaray at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Gaziantep's next round opponent will be Demir IBB (#13) in Buyukcekmece which should be theoretically an easy game.
