Regular Season Round 22: Agustinos-Leclerc - L'Hospitalet 77-61

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Agustinos-Leclerc's (10-12) home victory over 12th ranked L'Hospitalet (8-14) 77-61. The game was mostly controlled by Agustinos-Leclerc. L'Hospitalet was better in second period 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Agustinos-Leclerc won last quarter 21-7. They dominated on the defensive end, holding L'Hospitalet to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded L'Hospitalet 39-23 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of British center Jack Crook (211-93, college: Seattle) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds. Point guard Jose Medina (185-93) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Agustinos-Leclerc players scored in double figures. Guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (196-89) replied with 16 points and center Eduard Arques (202-94) added 10 points in the effort for L'Hospitalet. L'Hospitalet's coach Jorge Tarragona rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Agustinos-Leclerc maintains eleventh position with 10-12 record. L'Hospitalet at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth place with 14 games lost. Agustinos-Leclerc's next round opponent will be league's second-placed CB Granada on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. L'Hospitalet will play against Zamorano (#16) and hope to win that game.
