Regular Season Round 6: Tskaltubo - BC Titebi 99-96

The most exciting game of round 6 in the A League took place in Tskaltubo. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers BC Titebi (3-3) to fifth ranked Tskaltubo (3-3) 99-96 in the game for the third place. Tskaltubo made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 BC Titebi turnovers. Strangely BC Titebi outrebounded Tskaltubo 53-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Travante Williams (197-93, college: Alaska-Fairb., agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Uzbekistani center Dmitry Sviridov (212-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. American guard Ryan Aaron (190-91, college: S.Nazarene) replied with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-86) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists in the effort for BC Titebi. Four BC Titebi players scored in double figures. Tskaltubo have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Arena-76 and BC Titebi. Tskaltubo is looking forward to face Arena-76 (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BC Titebi will play against SEU Tbilisi and is hoping to win this game.
