Regular Season Round 20: Nancy - Paris-Levallois 59-78

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Paris-Levallois (12-8) crushed on the road bottom-ranked Sluc Nancy (4-16) 78-59 on Monday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-59. Paris-Levallois outrebounded Sluc Nancy 52-32 including a 36-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international power forward Louis Labeyrie (209-92) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The former international center Vincent Poirier (210-93) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Paris-Levallois players scored in double figures. Paris-Levallois' coach Frederic Fauthoux used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Spanish guard Alex Urtasun (193-84) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sluc Nancy. Paris-Levallois have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 12-8 record. Sluc Nancy at the other side stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Paris-Levallois will face ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#8) at home in the next round. Sluc Nancy will play against Strasbourg IG (#6) and hope to win that game.
