Regular Season Round 20: Openjobmetis V. - The Flexx PT 75-70
Date: February 27, 2017
Bottom-ranked Openjobmetis VA managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the two-game losing streak on Monday night. This time they won against eighth-ranked The Flexx PT in Varese 75-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of The Flexx PT. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But The Flexx PT won third quarter 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by American-Nigerian power forward OD Anosike (203-91, college: Siena) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and American Dominique Johnson (192-87, college: Azusa Pacific, agency: Higher Vision Sports) supported him with 23 points. Even 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by American point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) did not help to save the game for The Flexx PT. The former international center Andrea Crosariol (212-84, college: Fair Dickinson) added 13 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Openjobmetis VA (6-14) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Vanoli CR. Loser The Flexx PT keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Brescia and Auxilium TO. Openjobmetis VA will meet league's second-placed Scandone AV in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. The Flexx PT will play against Banco di Srd (#5) in Sassari and hope to secure a win.
