Second Stage Round 5: Good Angels - Samorin 85-46

The game between Top Four teams took place in Kosice. First ranked host Good Angels (10-1) smashed 4th placed Samorin (0-11) 85-46. Good Angels dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Samorin's 16 and made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Good Angels forced 36 Samorin turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Samorin's players. International point guard Barbora Balintova (175-94) stepped up and scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and the former international center Anna Jurcenkova (195-85) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Good Angels players scored in double figures. Canadian forward Kalisha Keane (185-89, college: Michigan St.) responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and the former international power forward Romana Vynuchalova (192-86, college: Penn St.) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Good Angels have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place in Places 1-4 with 10-1 record. Samorin at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Good Angels are looking forward to face league's second-placed Piestanske C. in Piestany in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Samorin will play at home against MBK Ruzomberok and hopes to get finally their first victory.
