Regular Season Round 22: Huelva - CAM E.Soler 76-70

There was an upset when much higher ranked CAM E.Soler (6-4) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Huelva (4-6) 76-70 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-14. But CAM E.Soler won second period 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international center Juan-Ignacio Romero (213-73) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Carlos Garcia (180-90) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Huelva players scored in double figures. Huelva's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American guard Joe Graessle (193-92, college: Tiffin) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and center Javier Gonzalez (207-92) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Huelva moved-up to fifth place in Group D Clasif, which they share with San Juan. Loser CAM E.Soler keeps the second position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
