Regular Season Round 3: Gigantes - Marinos 96-85

Rather expected game when Marinos (0-2) lost to Gigantes (2-0) in Puerto Ordaz 85-96 on Wednesday. Gigantes dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Marinos' 18 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for international point guard Harold Cazorla (175-91) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international forward Axiers Sucre (199-78) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international guard Jesus Centeno (190-85) answered with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international power forward Hector Romero (202-80, college: New Orleans) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Marinos. Gigantes will face Bucaneros in La Guaira in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Marinos will play at home against Guaiqueries and look forward to get finally their first victory.
