CDU Concepcion nipped CDE Talca to stay alive. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Espanol de Talca won third quarter 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Universidad de Concepcion forced 19 Espanol de Talca turnovers. Espanol de Talca was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) saved the victory by scoring 21 points and 5 assists. American forward Anthony Danridge (196-86, college: N.Mexico) contributed with 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Scott is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Universidad de Concepcion's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Dwight McCombs (203-89, college: Cent.Florida) answered with 23 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Eduardo Sepulveda (186-86) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Espanol de Talca. Four Espanol de Talca players scored in double figures.
