Regular Season Round 3: Guaiqueries - Guaros 90-89

A very interesting game took place in Porlamar. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of Guaros (0-2) to Guaiqueries (2-2) 90-89 in the fight for the third place. Guaiqueries forced 20 Guaros turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Cesar Silva (190-81) who scored 27 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international guard Michael Flores (192-85) chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Lazar Hayward (225-86, college: Marquette) who recorded 19 points and 6 rebounds and international point guard Heissler Guillent (186-86) added 15 points and 8 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Guaiqueries' next round opponent will be Marinos (#4) in Puerto La Cruz. Guaros will play at home against Trotamundos and look forward to get finally their first victory.
