Very expected game when 11th ranked Nitra (3-30) was smashed at home by third ranked Prievidza (24-11) 87-65. The best player for the winners was American-Iranian forward Mike Rostampour (203-91, college: Omaha) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Richard Korner (197-90) chipped in 19 points. Prievidza's coach Miljan Curovic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Croatian forward Eddi Jurjevic (202-93) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and guard Robert Rozanek (190-96) added 13 points and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. Defending champion maintains third position with 24-11 record having three points less than leader Kosice. Nitra lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 30 lost games. Prievidza will have a break next round. Nitra will play on the road against the league's second-placed Inter Bratislava (#2) and hope to win that game.
