There was no surprise in Wloclawek where 17th ranked Stabill (3-21) was outplayed by second ranked Anwil (17-7) 89-60 on Wednesday. Anwil dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Stabill's 28. Anwil forced 19 Stabill turnovers. American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) scored 22 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian guard Nemanja Jaramaz (200-91, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Coach Igor Milicic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward Alex Welsh (200-94, college: Colorado Springs) responded with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Tomasz Wojdyla (201-77) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Anwil have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-7 record having just one point less than leader Stelmet ZG. Stabill lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Anwil will face TBV Start (#15) in Lublin in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Stabill will play at home against Polpharma and hope to win that game.
