Regular Season Round 22: Evreux - St Chamond 90-81
Date: March 10, 2017
Very predictable result when seventh ranked ALM Evreux (12-10) beat at home 13th ranked Saint Chamond (9-13) 90-81. The hosts were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 30-24 Saint Chamond's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 90-81 at the end of the game. ALM Evreux players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American point guard Corin Henry (178-88, college: Tarleton St., agency: Octagon Europe) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and the other American import guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) supported him with 17 points. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by Stephane Gombauld (205-97) did not help to save the game for Saint Chamond. Naturalized Ivorian swingman Guy-Landry Edi (202-88, college: Gonzaga, agency: Promotex) added 16 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. ALM Evreux have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Blois. Saint Chamond at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. ALM Evreux's next round opponent will be league's leader JL Bourg on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Saint Chamond will play against Charleville-Mezieres (#3) and hope to win that game.
