Regular Season Round 25: ALBA - Wuerzburg 99-75

Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked s Oliver Baskets (6-18) were outscored on the road by fifth ranked ALBA Berlin (16-9) 99-75 on Saturday. ALBA Berlin made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International swingman Niels Giffey (200-91, college: Connecticut) nailed 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Serbian swingman Dragan Milosavljevic (198-89) accounted for 14 points and 5 assists. Five ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. American guard Vincent Sanford (193-90, college: Dayton) came up with 21 points and 5 assists and the other American import point guard Jake Odum (193-91, college: Indiana St.) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for s Oliver Baskets in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. ALBA Berlin maintains fifth place with 16-9 record. s Oliver Baskets at the other side keep the fifteenth position with 18 games lost.
