Regular Season Round 13: Saigon H. - KL Dragons 81-94

Bottom-ranked Malaysian KL Dragons managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they won against fourth-ranked Vietnamese Saigon Heat 94-81. The game was mostly controlled by KL Dragons. Saigon Heat managed to win third quarter 23-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Kiwi Gardner (170-93, college: Providence) nailed 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Skylar Spencer (208-94, college: San Diego St.) accounted for 24 points and 11 rebounds. American-Panamanian center Jordan Henriquez-Roberts (214-89, college: Kansas St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and American Lenny Daniel (203-87, college: CS Northridge) added 16 points and 15 rebounds respectively for Saigon Heat in the defeat. Five KL Dragons and four Saigon Heat players scored in double figures. KL Dragons maintains sixth place with 5-13 record. Saigon Heat at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. KL Dragons will meet at home higher ranked Kaohsiung (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Saigon Heat will play against the league's leader Hong Kong ELL and hope to secure a win.
