Very expected game when 16th ranked Zamorano (5-19) lost at home to second ranked CB Granada (18-7) 84-79. The guests were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 22-13 Zamorano's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 84-79 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was the former international center Jesus Fernandez (204-75) who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Jamaican forward Tyran De-Lattibeaudiere (201-91, college: Lamar) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) who recorded 11 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Chris Hansen (193-93, college: Idaho St.) added 14 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. CB Granada maintains second position with 18-7 record having just one point less than leader Sammic ISB. Zamorano lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 19 games lost. CB Granada's next round opponent will be Moron (#6) in MorĂ³n de la Frontera. Zamorano will play on the road against Fontedoso Carrefour (#5) in Avila and hope to win that game.
