Regular Season Round 27: Sokol Lancut - Kotwica 71-73

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Sokol Lancut (21-6) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by ninth ranked Kotwica (12-15) 73-71. Kotwica looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for guard Adrian Sulinski (185-89, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Patryk Przyborowski (195-90, agency: Promotex) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Power forward Maciej Klima (203-82) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international Marcin Sroka (201-81, agency: Promotex) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sokol Lancut. Kotwica have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Kotwica maintains ninth place with 12-15 record. Sokol Lancut at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with Legia W-wa. Kotwica are looking forward to face higher ranked Pogon Prudnik (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sokol Lancut will play against Polonia Leszno (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
