The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Mgzavrebi (#8) and Sokhumi (#4). Mgzavrebi (6-15) won against visiting Sokhumi (9-12) 77-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sokhumi. It was a great shooting night for Mgzavrebi especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. It was a good game for American point guard Kaheem Ransom (185, college: Sam Houston St.) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. His fellow American import point guard Corey Allen (185-92, college: S.Florida) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Mgzavrebi players scored in double figures. American guard Dwayne Lathan (190-89, college: Indiana St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Oleksandr Tishchenko (205-89) added 6 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Sokhumi. Sokhumi's coach Nugzar Cheishvili rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mgzavrebi maintains eighth place with 6-15 record. Sokhumi at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost.
