Regular Season Round 24: UCAM Murcia - Andorra 77-53

An interesting game took place in Murcia where higher ranked Andorra (11-11) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked UCAM Murcia (8-15) 77-53 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by UCAM Murcia. Andorra was better in third quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Andorra 47-25 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Jose-Angel Antelo (206-87) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Facundo Campazzo (181-91) who added 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four UCAM Murcia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Georgian center Giorgi Shermadini (217-89) with 12 points and Serbian power forward Oliver Stevic (204-84, agency: BeoBasket) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UCAM Murcia moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Zaragoza. Loser Andorra keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. UCAM Murcia will face higher ranked RETAbet BB (#9) in Bilbao in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
