No shocking result in a game when second ranked Panathinaikos (20-1) crushed on the road 13th ranked Apollon Patras (5-16) 97-74. The game was mostly controlled by Panathinaikos. Apollon Patras was better in third quarter 31-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Panathinaikos shot 60.3 percent from the field. The best player for the winners was American point guard Mike James (185-90, college: Lamar) who scored 17 points. His fellow American import forward Chris Singleton (206-89, college: Florida St.) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Ukrainian guard Steven Burtt (189-84, college: Iona) who recorded 20 points and American forward Cadarian Raines (206-90, college: Virginia Tech) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively.
