There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Vicenza (7-16) won against on the road higher ranked Desio (9-14) 77-73 on Sunday. It was a great evening for forward Umberto Campiello (198-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 9 rebounds. Giovanni Basso (196-94, agency: Players Group) helped adding 12 points. Forward Andrea Negri (193-88) responded with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Marco Torgano (197-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 14 points. Four Desio players scored in double figures. Desio's coach Davide Villa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vicenza moved-up to thirteenth place in B, which they share with Volpino AltoSeb. Desio lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Vicenza will face league's leader Orzinuovi GaGa at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
