Regular Season Round 24: Tortona - Scafati 82-75

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Tortona (16-8) beat at home 15th ranked Scafati (6-18) 82-75 on Sunday. Tortona dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Scafati's 28 and made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: Three Eye Sports) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 4 assists. The former international power forward Luca Garri (207-82) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized American swingman Anthony Dobbins (192-81, college: Richmond) replied with 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Maltese-American Darryl Jackson (190-85, college: Warner Pacific, agency: Diamond Sports) added 17 points in the effort for Scafati. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tortona maintains second position in A2 with 16-8 record having just two points less than leader Angelico Biella. Loser Scafati dropped to the sixteenth place with 18 games lost. Tortona will face Viola RC (#14) in Reggio Calabria in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Scafati will play at home against Eurobasket Roma and hope to win that game.
