AB Ancud upset CD Valdivia on the road to seal their semifinal appearance. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-19. But Deportivo Valdivia won second period 18-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AB Ancud players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Deportivo Valdivia was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Reginald Larry (198-86, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Venezuelan swingman Francisco Centeno (201-85) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five AB Ancud players scored in double figures. American forward Arnold Louis (201-90, college: Savannah St., agency: HMS) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import Durrell Summers (193-89, college: Michigan St.) added 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Deportivo Valdivia.
