Regular Season Round 34: Jamtland - Sodertalje 98-99

Fifth-ranked KFUM Jamtland (15-15) gave a tough game to third ranked Sodertalje Kings (21-8). The visitors from Sodertalje managed to secure only one-point victory 99-98. However their fans expected easier game. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 31-28. But KFUM Jamtland won second period 29-28. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sodertalje Kings made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Croatian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) notched 32 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Estonian guard Tanel Kurbas (197-88) supported him with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Even 25 points and 6 assists by American guard Jabril Durham (185-94, college: Arkansas) did not help to save the game for KFUM Jamtland. Estonian swingman Jaan Puidet (191-92) added 13 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Norrkoping. KFUM Jamtland at the other side keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Boras. Sodertalje Kings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KFUM Jamtland will play on the road against the league's leader BC Lulea (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
