Regular Season Round 18: NSH GMC - Satria Muda 57-81

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Jakarta: Satria Muda (#1) and NSH GMC (#8). NSH GMC was smashed at home by 24 points 57-81 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Satria Muda held NSH GMC to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Satria Muda forced 20 NSH GMC turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American guard Tyreek Jewell (185-93, college: St.Francis, NY) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Mohammad Rizal (195-93) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Satria Muda players scored in double figures. Satria Muda's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Nate Barfield (206-88, college: Langston) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Gary Jacobs (188-92, college: Cent.Washington) added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for NSH GMC. Satria Muda maintains first position with 11-1 record. NSH GMC lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with nine games lost. Satria Muda are looking forward to face JNE BSC (#9) in Bandung in the next round and are hoping to win another game. NSH GMC will have a break next round.
