Regular Season Round 25: Valladolid - Navarra 68-66

A very interesting game took place in Valladolid. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Navarra (13-12) to ninth ranked Blancos de Rueda (14-11) 68-66 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Navarra. Navarra was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 23-14 charge of Blancos de Rueda, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of British forward Rowell Graham (197-94) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds. Center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Blancos de Rueda's coach Inaki Martin Garcia used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Inaki Narros (196-81) answered with 16 points and center Victor Hidalgo (204-86) added 9 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Navarra. Blancos de Rueda moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Moron. Navarra at the other side keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Blancos de Rueda's next round opponent will be league's leader Sammic ISB in Azpeitia and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Navarra will play on the road against Albacete (#15) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the LEB Gold just one year after relegation.
