Quarter-Finals Round 2: Gimle BBK - Asker Aliens 90-61

Gimle cruised past Asker at home court to reach the semifinal stage. The game without a history. Gimle BBK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Asker Aliens' 18. Gimle BBK forced 21 Asker Aliens turnovers and outrebounded them 50-21 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Gimle BBK players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Asker Aliens' players. Swingman Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. American guard Nick Victor (196-92, college: Yale) contributed with 28 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. Gimle BBK's coach Audun Eskeland felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ICEn guard Sigurtor Sigurtorsson (190-97) replied with 19 points and the former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) added 14 points in the effort for Asker Aliens.
