Regular Season Round 28: ViVe - Kouvot 47-60

Everything could happen in Vimpeli at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Kouvottaret and 6th ranked ViVe had identical 12-14 record. But ViVe was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Kouvot 60-47 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Kouvottaret. ViVe was better in third quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ViVe to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Kouvottaret held ViVe to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 31.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jacqueline Luna-Castro (188-93, college: Charleston) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds and forward Whitney Frazier (180-92, college: Louisiana Tech) who added 15 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) responded with 5 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Olivia Nash (185-94, college: Oakland) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Kouvottaret (13-14) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with FoA. ViVe at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 15 games lost.
