Regular Season Round 47: Yamagata - Aomori Watts 67-63

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 4th placed Aomori Watts' (19-26) road loss to third ranked Yamagata (24-21) 63-67 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was point guard Yuichi Ishikawa (173-87) who scored 6 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Mitsutaka Izawa (194-93) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) added 8 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Yamagata maintains third place with 24-21 record having nine points less than leader Gunma. Loser Aomori Watts keep the fourth position with 26 games lost. Yamagata will face again Aomori Watts (#4) at home in the next round.
