Regular Season Round 24: Medacbasket - Huelva 82-62

There was a small surprise in Malaag where seventh ranked Medacbasket (4-8) outscored 5th ranked Huelva (5-7) 82-62 on Saturday. They outrebounded Huelva 41-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Taylor Cameron (196-91, college: Winona St.) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Senegalese forward Serigne Sow (202-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Juan-Ignacio Romero (213-73) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Gavin Schumann (188-93, college: S.Indiana) added 13 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Medacbasket moved-up to sixth place in Group D Clasif, which they share with Andujar and San Juan. Loser Huelva keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Medacbasket will face higher ranked ULB OH!TELS (#4) in La Linea in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Huelva will play at home against the league's leader Cazorla and hope to win that game.
