KR cruised past Thor AK to take 2-0 lead in the series. Thor AK was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 49-28 second half run of KR. They also forced 22 Thor AK turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. The former international guard Jon Stefansson (192-82) contributed with 18 points for the winners. American guard George Beamon (193-91, college: Manhattan) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Darrel Lewis (192-76, college: Lincoln, MO) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Thor AK. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
