Important game to mention about took place in Alcazar. Tenth ranked Alcazar (13-12) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 11th ranked Agustinos-Leclerc (11-14) 77-75 on Saturday evening. Agustinos-Leclerc was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Forward Ignacio Diaz (200-87) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American guard Lamonte Thomas (187-90, college: J.and Wales, RI) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Alcazar's coach David Varela used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side British center Jack Crook (211-93, college: Seattle) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Jose Medina (185-93) scored 20 points. Four Agustinos-Leclerc players scored in double figures. Alcazar moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Navarra and Zornotza. Agustinos-Leclerc at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Alcazar will face bottom-ranked Zamorano (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Agustinos-Leclerc will play against Gandia (#14) and hope to win that game.
