Regular Season Round 25: Granada - Moron 78-97

The game between second ranked CB Granada (18-8) and eighth ranked Moron (14-11) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. CB Granada was crushed by Moron in Granada 97-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CB Granada. The game was mostly controlled by Moron. CB Granada managed to win fourth quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Moron shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Croatian forward Leo Cizmic (206-98) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward Jesus Chagoyen (202-78) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Moron players scored in double figures. At the losing side Jamaican forward Tyran De-Lattibeaudiere (201-91, college: Lamar) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Carlos Corts (182-97) scored 17 points. CB Granada's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Moron moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Valladolid. CB Granada at the other side dropped to the third position with eight games lost. Moron is looking forward to face higher ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (#5) in Avila in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CB Granada will play on the road against Meridiano Alicante and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
