Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Lliria (3-8) was defeated at home by second ranked Valencia-2 (7-4) 82-70 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was swingman Josep Puerto (199-99) who scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Carlos Cerdan (190-97) chipped in 24 points. Valencia-2's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was center Candido Matoso (207-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and guard Victor Perez (180-90) added 11 points and 7 assists respectively. Valencia-2 maintains second position in Group E Clasif with 7-4 record having just three points less than leader Meridiano Baza. Loser Lliria keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Valencia-2 will face Cartagena (#4) at home in the next round. Lliria will play against the league's leader Myrtia in Murcia and hope to win that game.
