Second Stage Round 5: BC Timisoara - Pitesti 88-67

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Pitesti's (10-13) road loss to fifth ranked BC Timisoara (12-11) 67-88. The game was mostly controlled by BC Timisoara. Pitesti was better in fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian guard Mladen Jeremic (198-88, agency: 011 Sports) nailed 33 points (!!!) for the winning side and Cuban-American center Adrian Diaz (213-93, college: FIU) accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds. The former international point guard Adrian Tudor (184-85) came up with 12 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward Vincent Hunter (209-84, college: Arkansas) added 15 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for Pitesti in the defeat. Four Pitesti players scored in double figures. Pitesti's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. BC Timisoara maintains fifth place in Nationala with 12-11 record. Pitesti at the other side keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. BC Timisoara will have a break next round. Pitesti will play on the road against the league's leader UBT Cluj Napoca (#1) and hope to win that game.
